VRRP with 3.0rc6 and 2.9.46

I am trying to setup VRRP between 2.9.46 and 3.0rc6
In 2.9.46 there is a separate tab to add IP addresses to the VRRP interface, and then when it becomes master, it adds the IP to /IP/Address as dynamic.

In 3.0rc6, I think you are suppose to add the VRRP IP to IP/address and add it to the VRRP interface. Which I did.

the 3.0rc6 is the backup.. but the IP exists in the /IP/Address window.

Question:
Is this the correct way to setup VRRP in 3.0rc6
If yes, then how can I tell if the IP is in use or not.

Yes, it is correct way

I use /32 address on the VRRP interface - and never asked myself question is it used or not. I suppose the VRRP interface disables it when in slave.
