Wake On LAN WOL to Boot Routerboard ROS

Does any router board support “receiving” a WOL command to boot router OS on a routerboard?

My Idea is to have a routerboard configured to boot, and connect to a local wifi as a backup. My scrupt would check the normal gateway, but if it cannot route data, then it will issue a WOL command to “boot/turn on” another routerboard and that will connect to a wireless. I do understand that I can use the enable and disable wlan interface, but I could use a WOL for a routerboard for other reasons too.

Thanks.

If not, when will this be implemented?

I have not heard nor read anything about it. You can use some rb with manageable power out on some port and power on and off your client by this directly. It will be better in your case as for the wol you need to have the receiving device constantly under voltage. But I personally would keep it running to be sure it is connected.
