By “wall plug” do you mean phone jack or power outlet? (Either can be used for backhaul)
FWIW, Motorola’s “T3 PowerBroadband” product line uses existing Cat3 wiring to deliver PoE and backhaul to modules that plug directly into a standard wall plate and provide Wifi, Ethernet and phone ports. Great for upgrading existing, multi-unit buildings with older wiring. It’s an extremely pricey system though, and I’m confident MT could deliver something comparable for less than half the cost.
we are looking for the Cat5 POE type…
so far, there is few manufacturer promote this type of AP…
just wonder, how mikrotik look into it as this is great market especially one hotel can easily implement more than 500 unit’s…
