WAN Bridge

So What I would like is to plug my ISP into Port 1 where I have a /28.
I would like to be able to use any of those Public IP addresses on port 2 - for testing from time to time, or needing a Public IP on a device.

Mikrotik support told me to use a Bridge.
My VoIP Provider said No - that is the wrong way to do it - but wouldn’t go into detail without a payment for support.

If the Bridge is not the way to do it (create a 2 port switch basically) then what is?

CCR1016-12G
v6.18

Thank you in advance.

Have a look at one of my older posts which I suppose to exactly match your question:

Bridging works fine.
You can even filter the bridge L2 traffic or apply IP Firewall rules if IP Firewall is enabled on bridging.
I have used this in a situation where production servers needed public WAN IP’s without any natting. We applied IP filters and IP Firewall rules for security.
Used a CCR1036 series for this. Works good.

Went live with my bridge config last night and it’s all working great… Thanks for the replies.
