Hi, my first post on this forum.
Bought a CRS317 yesterday, not yet received, but I have a question related to intended use for this device.
We have leased a 1GB “internet fiber” from a provider, for redistribution to customers within an industry area.
There will be just static routing, default route i guess, from our subnet into the provider network.
So the switch/router will have just public IP’s. The IP’s can be manually distributed to the customers and their gateways, and no NAT should be done on the CRS
No firewalling on this CRS, that will be taken care of by customers by their CPE.
My consern is hardening and managing this device being an “internet device”.
Have I choosen the right device for the job, or should I have gone for the usual Cisco ME34xx series ?
Thanks for any advice.
