WAN link dropping - interface rx errors

I have been having problems with my WAN link only dropping. It’s running ADSL 2+ using PPPoE on ether1-gateway interface.

The stats show a lot of errors, displayed below.

What do i do to fix this problem?

Check the cable, any sources of heavy interference, or it may be any of the ethernet ports being defective.

I’ve changed the MTU and L2 MTU settings on the ether1 interface to match the pppoe virtual interface to match and there don’t seem to be anymore errors. so i’m hoping that has fixed the problem???
