WAN Speed

I’ve got a CRS125-2G-1S-RM that I’m using as a router and a 300/300Mb connection. I’ve tried everything I can (removing VLAN and Queues) but can only achieve about 210Mb down consistently. Is there a configuration change that needs to be made or have I just run into a hardware limitation?

If it’s a hardware issue would I have better luck using a different router or would I realistically need a more powerful switch as well? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the problem is the processor ! if you have an static ip you can use fasttrack to fix this problem, if not you have to wait until new upgrade to the RB

For a 300/300 connection the CRS is not adequate (It’s designed for switching). Looking at the performance chart I definitely would not use it for that type of link. I would be using a 1100AHx2 so that you have some performance to spare to help future proof it. But you could always wait for the RB3011 and see what the performance is like on that if budget is a concern.

Try to use the fasttrack before you invest in other router. It should help significantly and for free.
