wAP 60G - Vague timeline?

So the wAP 60G was shown off at a few MUMs (MUM EU mostly), and last month’s newsletter featured a press release from Qualcomm about it, but things have been relatively quiet (silent, even) on the 60GHz/802.11ad front since.

Can we coax any kind of tiny update out of the team? Just an idea as to whether we’re still on track for a release in “Q2/Q3” (aka Q4) this year… I have so many use cases for this device & possibly LHG 60G also, if they can deliver anything over 300-400Mbps TCP with perfect signal…

This is Mikrotik.
There is Mum you get the PDF with possible Releases Dates
But you will never get information like is available in 4 weeks.

There is a little bit light in the Tunnel.

But there are so much missing Informations:

\

  • Channel Width only 2 GHz?
  • Gain of Antenna WAP / LHG
  • distance LHG60G
  • Frequency Range
  • power consumption
  • this or next year?
  • support for 802.11ad PCIe Modules?

Since information on Wiki:

Why only 3 Channels, i think there are 4

Yeah, I figure if there was news we’d know. It’d just be nice to have something other than dead silence between the “hey this is coming!” announcement & actual release :frowning:

https://fccid.io/TV7WAPG60AD/Test-Report/RF-Test-Report-3521245
Three channels
1 - 58.32GHz
2 - 60.48GHz
3 - 62.64GHz
channel bandwidth 2.16GHz
integrated antenna gain 10.56 to 13.48dBi depending on channel
Peak power limit : 500mW (27dBm)
Lowest data rate 27.2Mbps
Highest data rate 4620Mbps
PSU > 24V 0.38A, input 9-48V

If it has an FCC ID it must not be long until release.

#soon

Right, No Company wann to Tell the Competitor too much!

That FCC filing is exactly the sort of tidbit I hoped someone would dig up - thanks much, guys. Can’t be super long now

Any ETA for the LHG 60G? Q1,Q2 or later?

Thank You Giuseppe

Looks like “later”
