wAP 60Gx3 Configuration

Hello

Equipment I am using –

1x wAP 60Gx3 RouterOS 6.44
2x LHG 60 RouterOS 6.44

I am having some issues with keeping a PTMP link connected. I have them set up on polls mounted in an indoor space for testing at the moment.

The wAP 60Gx3 is currently set up as an “ap bridge” and the two LHG 60s as set up as “station bridge”. They both will connect separately and together, but they continuously disconnect and reconnect while the logs give now reason as to why. In the past, I have worked with the Wireless Wire PTP devices and understand the configurations needed to have them connect and work. However, I have never experienced these kind of drops before, and I am not sure if I have them configured correctly.

The only documentation I can find on how to set up a PTMP link using RouterOS says to use the Wireless tab and set up a Wireless Interface. Its shows that for the AP, it should be set up as an “ap bridge”, and the stations as a “station WDS”. However, when I try to do this, it asks me for a “Master Interface” with no options to choose from in a drop down. I tried to search for information about the Master Interface, but I can only find other people saying that the Master Interface is no longer needed for any set up after 6.42.

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure this out. I haven’t work with any Mikrotik equipment with a License Level higher than 3, so I am hoping there is just something I am missing. Also, I have not tested the equipment in the field. I’m hoping my issue is just caused by the closeness of the devices and the Beam Forming the wAP does.

Thank you in advance and if you can help me, but need more information, please feel free to ask!!

Go to system logging and there create a log rule with topics debug and wireless…
Then check if the log gives you more details…

I will set that up and hopefully it can get me some more information.

Thank You

I did this and had them running off and on over the weekend and today, and I am still getting the same logs as before.

The logs look like this:

Buffer – Memory
Topics – Interface, Info
Messages – wlan60-station-2: link up

Buffer – Memory
Topics – Interface, Info
Messages – wlan60-station-2: link down

Ok so no additional details…
You said you test them indoors, did you lower the Tx powers of all your Antennas? Being close enough may cause many problems…
Also both your Client Antennas lose connectivity with your AP at the same time ?

upgrade them to newest routeros. there was an issue with dissconnecting all devices when one dropped conn.
