wAP AC - Firewall Rules?

Hi, for a few days, I got my wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD) device. I’m use this only a wifi ap in my network. My router is a hAP AC (RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT). I’m not sure, if I should create also firewall rules like my hAP AC or is that unnecessary. HHmm… I’m nor sure, if my rules on the router to be enough.

Perhaps anyone can give me a short overview, what I need and what I don’t need. I’m new with this configuration.

You only need firewall protection on the device facing internet; per your post looks like that duty is already being carried away on the Hap ac, so no, you don’t need any firewall on the wAP ac.

In fact best practice is having that AP doing as little as possible for the best AP performance.
