Hi All,
I just came across a curious behavior on my wAP ac. This is the only AP in my home that is not (yet) managed by CAPsMAN, and in order to bridge the time till it can be integrated into the remaining infrastructure running WiFiWave2 CAPsMAN, it is pretty much configured standalone.
At any rate, I would like it to use channel #13 for 2 GHz wifi, but for some reason when I enter 2472 MHz, 20 MHz channel width, and eC channel layout, the frequency gets auto-reset to 2412 MHz (channel #1), stating that the frequency is not valid or something. Using 2462 MHz (channel #11) works, but that is not what I want.
Now, when I define a channel with the same parameters as above,
/interface wireless channels
add band=2ghz-g/n extension-channel=eC frequency=2472 list="2 GHz" name="#13 20 MHz eC" width=20
I can perfectly select this channel from the list of values - and the AP will happily use it. Is this a bug? Or am I overlooking something here?
Thanks for your input
