I’ve had wAPax for relatively recently and compared to cAPax I think, as coverage or signal strength, they perform similarly. It’s all a matter of placement and consideration of location and obstacles, walls, etc.
Wap is intented to be mounted against wall ( or ceiling).
So the omni directional part towards the back is supposed to be reflected back forward ( mostly).
You can use it on desk stand but that doesn’t change the fact it is supposed to be against something.
Cap is a ceiling mounted ap. Mostly radiating down- and sidewards.
I have wap ax at home, on desk stand but placed in a corner. No issues with coverage ( also have ax2 on other side of appt).
Can not compare with cap ax, never had it at home.
