wAP LR8 LoRa over a private PtP link

Hi
Can I use LoRa in a wAP as a PtP bridge and not using a shared network like the things network? I’m thinking a setup like this:
Modbus TCP sensor — wAP <----wireless LoRa—> wAP — PLC (modbus master)

And I’m not sure wAP can be a “client” in a LoRa network? If not then this might work?:
(Any modbus or 4-20mA to LoRa converter) <—wireless LoRa—> wAP — PLC

And I’m not sure what the interface could be between wAP and PLC, modbus TCP would be easy to do but something else might work too.
Any ideas? Is this is possible at all to have a private LoRa PtP? Maybe not exactly like my examples but something similar?

Kind regards
David

Seems like the answer is that I need a LoRa gateway server getting the telegrams from wAP and converts them into a PLC protocol. I found this:

And LoRa does not seem to support transfering of modbus telegrams directly, only single measuring values. I guess one could probably find or make a gateway in the other end too which turns a selection of modbus signals/registers into LoRa “sensors”. For example this:
