wAP LR9 Cannot Reset

I have a wAP LR9 that I’ve been trying to get working the past few days, with basically no luck. In a fit of stupidity, I turned off the wlan, thinking that the current set up would force the unit into using ether1, but it has not - and I’ve effectively locked myself out and am unable to log back in.

I’ve tried physically resetting the device by:

  • Powering device off, leaving for 10s
  • Holding down reset button
  • Powering on device (both via PoE and power plug)
  • Holding down reset button for 5 seconds.

Nothing so far has worked. I expected to see the power button start to flash after 5 seconds as outlined by the so called LR9 manual (wAP LR9 kit - User manuals - MikroTik Documentation), but it doesn’t work in the slightest.

Is there some trick to this?

Try with both bootloaders

each device may have some different timing so the 3 (or 5) seconds are "approximate, just keep the reset button until you see led lighting.

If you cannot reset, there is still Netinstall, but it is a PITA, so try again a few times with reset before giving up.

usee netinstall with option "keep previous configuration",
keep the reset button pressed before powering the device and until the device is visible on netinstall,
to avoid problem with all release button timing...

If not solve, you mess with config, and do netinstall again removing "keep previous configuration" for total reset.
