wAP LTE kit / SXT LTE GPS

Hi,

I’m looking to replace our (expensive) GPS NTP servers and I’ve read in posts from a few years back that the LTE modems have the ability to sync the system clock via GPS. I understand that the accuracy is not as good as it’s serial rather than PPS, but ignoring that would a wAP-LTE-kit or SXT-LTE be able to sync its clock via GPS and then operate as an NTP server?

Thanks,
Rich

Anyone?

you need a LTE card with GPS function and then you can install the gps package and use set-system-time option. And then you can use the NTP server to distribute the time.

Uldi, go eF yourself. The guy needs a simple NTP server and thats it.

How is Uldis answer not correct? That is the true way to do it. NTP server needs a reliable time source, such as GPS.

Thanks Uldis & Normis.

My question was whether the LTE cards in wAP-LTE-kit or SXT-LTE have this functionality?
