wAP LTE losts LTE connection

Hello Guys,
I’m a fresh MikroTik user, so maybe my question is dumb
I’ve installed RBwAPR-2nD&R11e-LTE with 6.47.7 SW release and SIM card for LTE.
I haven’t configured routerboard with advanced settings. I’ve just used a quick set (AP LTE) profile. SIM card is registered in 2G/3G/4G network (LTE Band 7 15MHz).

Every time I “ask” for www address (contacting with GSM operator DNS and resolving a name) I’ve got a few seconds communication break. I checked with simple tool - ping to GSM operator DNS. And every time I asked for www address, I’ve got a same story - few second break and then reconnect and success.
Same time I pinged a router in local network. There weren’t connection breaks.

I haven’t found anything strange in logs.

Did anyone of you found same problem? What to do with it? Maybe some boxes have to be checked in advanced configuration.

Thanks in advance and best regards
Dominik

I can confirm that this should be classical communication.

Maybe your ISP give you that strange bad communication.

ip dns print
put [resolve mikrotik.com ]
ping mikrotik.com
tool traceroute mikrotik.com use-dns=no

Give us that feedback.
Remember in Terminal the TAB key is your friend.

Paste here your interface Cellular tab with a screenshot. Example:

And if you use Google’s DNS also occurs the same?

I also suspect of your ISP. The strange is that you only have 15Mhz at Band 7 instead of 20Mhz.

Regards.

Hi Guys,
after many tries I think I resolved a problem.

  1. Internal antennas are piece of sh… Without external panel / yagi antennas (or one with MIMO) WAP LTE doesn’t work. WAP LTE is installed on a wall with line of sight to BTS. Distance between WAP LTE and BTS is about 400 meters. Internal antennas aren’t omni . They look like two 120-180 degrees sectors combined together by modem. It is possible when I installed WAP LTE in front of BTS, there was a problem with propagation, because BTS was in a “dead zone”.
  2. my WAP LTE has a problem with B7 15MHz. I don’t know why. Maybe a problem is in sector.
  3. swap to B20 10MHz and everything works fine.

Dominik

Yeah… we not have a 360° Gain signals in H&V position and per popular in EU Bands like 700/800/900/1800/2100/2600

External antenna in LTE is always a KEY. That’s why I use only SXTR/LHGR/LDFR.
