Hello,
I have several wAP-LTE boards running on different locations. All are setup with an IPsec tunnel to the headquarter. Actually the tunnels are working good (depending on LTE signal strength), but I found something I would like to fix.
So, I have a fully configured wAP-LTE which is connected to my laptop via cable. Everything is working fine. I can ping servers through the IPsec tunnel and so on…
If I now disconnect my laptop, the tunnel is still up (can see it over Winbox when I login from WAN-site), but no pings are working. My idea now is, that the IP-interface is’nt up because of the lacking link of the interface - so no pings would work.
Anyone think I could be right with this one?
If I connect my laptop again, I can ping servers again - from my laptop as well as from the router itself.
Wifi and ethernet ports are within a bridge. But both ports are down if nothing is connected. Sure, later on when everything is finished, there will be another device connected to the LAN port and this problem should not exist any more. Otherwise I would like to reach the router, also if no device is connected to it.
