wAP LTE vs SXT LTE

Hello,
in EU the first wAP LTE devices just arrived in early October. I’m sure, most people who interested - already got them in their hands.

We have good experience in the past with SXT-LTE - if they works in that region. They can do ~80/40mbps data.

Since few days, i have my wAP LTE arrived and tested. In urban environment, it can do almost the same speed, but out of the city, i can measue max ~40/20mbps
RSRP -93dBm
RSRQ: -9dB
SINR: 11dB
If my memories are OK, in the middle of the city, i also had no better signal.

So my questions are:

  • what are your experiences comparing the two devices?
  • the speed is limited becuase of modulation? I tried to put outside of the window - remains the same thruput
  • is there a possiblity to “blacklist” a specific (congested) cell? Or at least list the available cells? Not only available provider(s) ?
  • is that normal that connecting to LTE network (interface change state to R) takes few minutes (after reboot, or interface enable-disable) ?

I’m also a bit dissapointed with the current speeds I can achieve, i’m getting better download and upload with a rb+usb solution.

Did you use the latest rc firmware? It works a little better in the wap lte (at leat it seems better).
