Hello,
I am using MT wAP with R11e-LTE modem. Overall Internet speed is solid (30/30 Mbps) but the mobile signal is relatively poor, so there is some packet loss (about 1%). However, it occurs in a strange way. Everything works flawlessly for a few minutes, and then several packets (up to ten) are dropped in a row. This is of course very noticeable in whatever you do.
A cheap Huawei LTE router in the same spot also drops about 1% of packets, but spread evenly over time. So I don’t ever notice it, even in VoIP connections. All mobile phones I have in the house behave in the same way, one packet dropped every once in a while. Only wAP drops several packets in a row.
Is there anything I can do to mitigate this, other than trying to get a better signal? I’ve updated the modem firmware, and also ROS to latest long-term version and stable version, but no change.
