wAP R - LTE interface fails at PIN "searching" state - v6 and v7

Hi everyone,

It’s my first post here, I hope my topic is in the right section.

I have a wAP R r2 (RBwAPR-2nD/r2), and after setting up the LTE1 interface, after “searching” state of Pin Status, the interface :
→ Simply dissapears and reappears in 6.49.13, the modem seems to reboot
→ Becomes invalid in 7.15.3 and 7.16rc2. It also seems to reboot indeed

I tried multiple Netinstall to be sure the modem firmware is updated each time, and with brand new configuration (without default configuration).

I’ve tried with another wAP R, and no problem.
I suspect my modem to be in a bad condition :frowning:

Does somebody had a similar issue ? Is my hardware damaged, and I should go to a new wAP ?

I’d make sure the RouterBOOT matches the version you’re using, that’s in /system/routerboard. AFAIK, netinstall does not upgrade the bootloader.

Sorry for the delay,

I’ve exchanged the R11e-LTE modem between both my wAP R… and it resolved the problem, both were working. Maybe my wAP R issued a shock and plug-in / plug-out the modem resolved the problem.
