WAP R SIM connector SMD

Well this is what happens when you lend your router to a friend. They managed to break the SIM connector on my WAP R, anyone know the part number so I can change it rather than get a new router?

Thanks

Second broken SIM port that I see. :frowning:

About it, I suppose that is a common standard size SIM port.

You have 2 options: A) Solder a new one B) Buy a new LTE MikroTik device.

Regards.

Go with a RMA Warranty,
write to support@mikrotik.com - if they not have that feedback then never do better revision of that!
This should be as RMA anyway, sorry but that sim port is not what should be broken even if user use bad sim card size - in my opinion. Special when you can deasemble unit.

one example, I always with a sim cards use a office transparent tape with simcard, at all devices, because then it’s harder stay in slot, they are easier to exit… special wrong sim slot is in LHGR ! he is a king of bad SIM Card and:

and new chateau have similar wrong doing…

Get better friends
How did they manage to break the SIM contact pins? You can probably buy the SMD component for cheap online and then reflow solder it, or use a heatgun.
RMA is still the best option, as they will probably do the same thing in-house except they will guarantee it fixed or replaced.
