I bought for a customer 5 Wap R devices to use them with Vodafone Greece network.
I get
Registration status: denied
and in the logs I also see
lte1: rcvd +CME ERROR: Not camped on cell
I upgraded the modem to the latest revision
revision: R11e-4G_V007
but still nothing.
I also get
failure: Roaming barring not supported by modem!
when I try to enable allow-roaming
and there is a chance that the provider uses roaming even for in country connections.
Any ideas?
You have all the clues under your eyes, the problem is not the device.
Is the network cell than not allow the connection with that SIM.
The SIM are not enabled for service.
I also get “Registration status: denied” until network operator not enable the SIM for LTE/3G service.
Sometime I must wait days…
indeed it ended up 2 things… one the provider (Vodafone) had enabled 3G only so the LTE only modem wouldn’t connect and 2/5 sims that where handed to me had different apn despite that they where on the same provider bought all together
