Hi!
I have two wAPac (older ones), one of them is the WiFi GW the other is a repeater like AP.
Topology: [wired LAN]==={wire}===[AP1]—(((wifi 5GHz)))—[AP2]—)))—WiFi clients
I use AP2 to extend the wired & wireless LAN with WiFi-WDS. There is a static WDS between the two AP. On AP1 the WLAN & WDS interfaces are connected to a bridge which is vlan-filtering, but tagging enabled only on WDS, not on main WLAN interfaces.
This setup worked fine with ROSv6, but I upgraded my whole LAN to ROSv7.1RC1, and after some days the WDS traffic stops. In AP1’s WL connection table, I see AP2, but there is no traffic goes through WiFi, except the neighbor discovery packets, as I see AP2 in the neighbor table. I tried mac-telnet to the AP2 MAC’s but can’t connect.
The traffic starts after I disconnect AP2 (remove AP2 from AP1 WL connection table). I upgraded to v7.1RC2 but traffic still stops.
What should I do?
With RC3 I experience the same issue. After two days and a few hours it stop forwarding. I tried to generate supout on the far end AP2, but it hang at 8% and after that it rebooted itself and I have no supout file, while on AP1 I succesfully can generate supout. So on AP2 something smells fishy.
RC4 didn’t solve the issue.
I noticed that some of regular WiFi clients hangs too after random time. WiFi connection is seems good but there is no packet forwarding on it. Only disassoc-assoc repair the connection.
hAP ac (and ac²?) has similar problem from all the way back in beta versions

I will try to do some debug on AP when traffic stops, maybe somesthing comes out.
Send all required info to support@mikrotik.com.
Ticket will be created and if it something trivial (or already fixed ?), you may get a temp version to try out.
