Hello
I have a wapAX running in my garage (2.4 GHz 17 dBi, 5 GHz 23 dBi). The country is set to Austria, and the installation type is set to indoor, but I'm still getting messages like:
XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX@wlan-garage-50G(WLAN_GARAGE) disconnected, too strong signal, signal strength 166
What could be causing this? The distance to the AP is at least >10 m.
Best regards, Richard
PS: LTS 7.20.8
I bought the WAP ax when it was released. I have seen these "signal too strong" messages frequently. I even reported them to MikroTik support and sent supout.rif file(s). However, they apparently could not reproduce the issue.
My WAP ax has unfortunately been sitting in a drawer for a long time. It's a pity that this problem still occurs in newer RouterOS versions.

No worries...the signal is not too strong. It is an incorrect message. Nothing more, nothing less.
It occurs when the signal is too low. Might be a calculation error.

It probably has the same low priority as the link down/up timestamp flickering described by Druvis, fixed in 7.22. Sometimes it looks like Mikrotik needs to eat their own dog food to track down minor issues.

Regarding reproducing the error: on my end, these log entries appear every time a device connects to the AP.
