I enabled it via winbox by checking the watchdog timer option. Added the IP address of another device plugged into it and left the other settings on default. Ping start after boot 5:00 minutes. Automatic supout was checked, auto send supout not checked. But the router still locked up and needed to be power cycled to bring it back up.
Do these need to be rebooted before this timer starts or should it just work? Is there anything else I needed to do? This router is in a very very remote location and a tank a gas is expensive these days.
I’m using 4.2 on the majority of my Mikrotiks and the boards range to just about everything they make. Should watchdog work on all boards are just specific models?
