We Thanks MT for this!
giving a way to Water to get in to the METAL 2SHPN

What is inside? Silicone?
from my experince whit eletric component in harch envirement like outside its bether to leave a hole at the buttom (1-1,5mm) instead of try to close things completly.
allsow i find it abit weird that these no selling arond the lid of the device, atleast it domt look like it from the picture
+1
How was it mounted? The Metal is completely waterproof. This could happen if the sealing plug was not correctly inserted, or the device was left open.
What is also possible, that due to temperature and pressure changes, water (or humid air) was sucked in through the Ethernet cable or Antenna. Condensation can accumulate in such case. You can remove the rubber plug to make sure water drops out of the lid and dries out.
it was mounted just like in the image. the sealing plug was correctly inserted.
and it was vertically mounted just as usual.
You need to use self bonding tape for all types of coax connectors!
and finnish it with black tape
Outdoor FTP cable is also recommended …

Nice photo. Czech police uses also Groove ![]()

HI!
It’s a chance you water leak in the cable at some higher elevated point
then the Groove. If water enter the cable it follow the cable and row out
inside the Groove…

Am I the only one who noticed that:
- The gasket at the bottom is not seated properly, you can see how when the case was closed that the impression on it is not uniform. This is the gasket between the metal door.
- The hole in which the rubber gasket for the Ethernet cable is supposed to sit in, does not have a CLEAN edge where the rubber gasket that wraps the Ethernet cable would of sat. IE there should be an area about 3 - 4 mm in a perfect ring that is clean, since the rubber gasket would of not allowed that sludgey stuff to even touch the metal case, and when it was removed, you would of seen this mark.
- The gasket that is supposed to seal the Ethernet cable is the ONLY thing that is clean? why is there no sludgey goo on that?
Interpretation, the door was closed improperly causing the seat to deform, and the rubber around the Ethernet was either not installed properly, or at all.
Just a hunch
what about the new OmniTIK UPA-5HnD who continue rebooting infinitely?
