Hi!
I have one CRS112-8G-4S (r2) and two RB260GS (CSS106-5G-1S) which I want to connect to each other via fiber optics.
The existing infrastructure I’m tying these into uses multimode, 62.5/125 um (OM1) cables and 1310 nm wavelength (and no option to change).
As there are no MikroTik SFP modules matching these requirements, I’m trying to use these (the only difference is link speed which is not important in this setup):
- https://www.atel-electronics.eu/produkt.php?hash=08921
Now, here are the problems (same behaviour for both types of modules):
- CRS112 doesn’t recognize the modules (see attached screenshot)
- RB260GS-es straight up lock up (doesn’t even respond to pings - I have to power-cycle it after removing the SFP module).
All devices are up-to-date. Nothing shows in CRS112’s logs (and I can’t find logs in SwOS - are there any?).
As I’m new to RouterOS/SwOS, I admit that I don’t know where to go from here.
Changing to other modules that fulfill the requirements above and that are verified to work with MikroTik devices is a viable solution for me too, however I haven’t found any.
