WDS and access list

I have Mikrotik AP in WDS with LinkSys AP it work but if I uncheck default authenticate and add LinkSys MAC address in acess list WDS is broken then I check default authenticate and WDS work. Before I use 2.8.2x and this work, but upgrade 2.9.1 don’t.

Some wrong in my config or I need to try new version ?

In /interface wireless connect-list you need add your another AP

Yes is works in 2.8.2x but in 2.9.1 don’t. I try to connect another Mikrotik with WDS and works posible some problem with LinkSys AP and Mikrotik 2.9 in WDS mode. But very soon need to replace LinkSys with Mikrotik AP and this work :sunglasses: .

I still have the same problem with 2 mikrotiks. If i take Deafult authenticate of it drops the WDS link

hello boys (and girls),
I have same problem:
rb133 with r52

RouuterOS version is

MikroTik RouterOS 2.9.41

And client1: WAP54G fw: v2.07, Apr 08, 2004; MustDie revision 1 in repeater (WDS) mode.
Client2: EDIMAX EW-7206APg
Problem:
I put WAP54G MAC address in Access list, but Rgistration table is empty and no link between AP(ROS) and WDS Client(WAP). If I turn default-authentication=yes - link os OK.
Question is: How to configure ROS to work with LinkSYS WAP54G and EDIMAX EW-7206APg in WDS mode and working access list?

If you re-read this topic, you can find the explanation to your question:

So, you have to add the mac address of your Linksys on the “connect list”, NOT on the “access list”.
But consider that not all ap’s are compatible each other in WDS mode.

You are my rescuer!
