I have a setup in this form:
I have a WDS link between two radios, and also have seperate routers connected to each end of te radio., routerA and RouterB
The problem is that all my wireless connections get a hotspot check from RouterA only. How do I redirect all traffic from radioB to accept their hotspot authentication from RouterB only, and not vice- versa.
Thank You,
Akinyemi
I think part of your problem is that you are using WDS which will forward all traffic to the main WDS router (router A presumably).
Possibly you can setup an additional VAP on router B and have your clients connect to the hotspot on the VAP instead. Then you should be able to use the WDS link as the “default gateway” of the VAP to backhaul the traffic to router A.
I am not certain this works since I have not tried to use a radio for WDS and also to run a “non-WDS” VAP on the radio at the same time. It may require 2 radio cards.
Maybe someone can shed some more light on this idea…
