Hi There,
I have the following physical setup
- Both MT’s have on 1 radio (WLAN1)
- MT1 has E1 interface connected to ADSL modem with NAT
[ADSL(NAT)] — [(MT1)E1 --WLAN1] ----wds-bridge---- [(MT2)WLAN1]
Created a WDS AP-BRIDGE on MT1 on WLAN1 interface.
Created a WDS AP-BRIDGE on MT2 on WLAN1 interface.
Created a DHCP/DNS server running on bridge interface (BRIDGE1)
Created MT1(AP1) and MT(AP2) on same SSID
MT1 E1 has ip address 192.168.1.1/24
MT1 BRIDGE1 has ip address 192.168.254.254/24
MT2 BRIDGE1 has ip address 192.168.254.253/24
What works:
- Connect with a wifi client to MT1 AP1 with dynamic ip assigning, client get’s ip address and i can ping the internet
- Connect with a wifi client to MT2 AP2 with static ip address 192.168.254.1/24 dns/gw 192.168.254.254 and i can ping the internet
What does not work:
-Connect with a client to MT2 with dynamic ip address assigment, the client does not get an IP address from the DHCP server running on MT1 bridge interface.
What do i do wrong. Any help would be very appreciated.
What do i want to do:
having one tower, 30 CPE’s. Some CPE’s do not see the tower. All CPE’s are also acting as AP. CPE’s which do not see the tower, can see other CPE, which sees the tower and traffic would be bridged as following:
E1 E1
| |
TOWER — wds bridge — CPE1 — wds bridge — CPE2
--------------LOS------- --------LOS------------
Possible?
Cheers,
Matt
