WDS between MT (Atheros) and Linksys WRT54G/GS (ddwrt)

Hi Folks,

I really surpise that I lost my own previous post with the similar subject. Therefor, please accept my apologize for repeating the same post.

The original post was, I would like to make the WDS connection from main AP (MT-Atheros) to the remote AP (Linksys WRT54G/GS with ddwrt 23 final inside).

The current encryption used is WPA-TKIP for all clients.

Someone was answer my post and said that there are no problem for WDS between MT-Atheros and WRT54G/GS with dd-wrt. Also, any encryption type will work fine.

Therefor, I need the sequence step by step procedures of creating both of P2pP-Type and LAN-Type WDS for both above equipments.

TIA

Paul

hi,

with wpa-psk tkip or aes it works between linksys routers with dd-wrt (23..)

but with Routeros ↔ linksys dd-wrt v.23 it does not work.
with dynamic or static wds (and then add the mac-adress to a wds) the mt shows:

13:18:38 wireless, info 00:13:10:15:XX:XX@wlan1_lgswpawds: connected, is AP, wants WDS
13:18:41 wireless,info 00:13:10:15:XX:XX@wlan1_lgswpawds: disconnected,
decided to deauth: 4-way handshake timeout (15)

Without encryption i read in this forum, that it should work. but that is useless for me here.

Even it you don’t get any linksys linux-based routers anymore.

Tip: Get MT on both-sides  Watch out for the RB112.

(changed word “dns” to “wds”
