WDS Disconnects EVERY 20 minutes to the second.

I have a wireless bridge setup using WDS. Every 20 minutes (down to the second) I get the following in my log:

@wlan1: disconnected, got disassoc: sending station leaving(8)
@wlan1: connected, wants WDS.

From here all is quite until 20 minutes passes and then repeat above. If I manually disconnect after, say, 15 mintues, it will still disconnect after 5 minutes. Seems to be something external causes a disconnect every 20 minutes.

Question: Could there be some interference causing this to drop?

  1. There is a trucking company between our buildings connected with the wirelss bridge.
  2. There is a police station between the buildings.

The building are about 100 yards a part. The connection shows strong and we get great bandwidth. If it wouldn’t drop, everything would be just fine.

Interference or something else?

what messages you have in the other end?

The other end is a LiteStation5 and does not have the logging capabilities that the MikroTik has.

I have never setup WDS before and fear that I did something wrong. But when it is connected it works fine. So I don’t know.

I am not sure what was going on but we just went ahead and replaced the LiteStation and also noticed that the impedence was off a little on 1-2 pair so we replaced the cable too. It is running solid without drops. I am thinking it might have been a bug in the AP.

You replaced the LS and Cable and you “think it might have been a bug in the AP” am i missing something here??? :confused:

Either someting in the LiteStation or the cable. The settings in the new LiteStation are identical. They are the same model, same firmware and same settings. The only difference in the setup is the cable and the hardware. Software side the only difference is the mac address.

I have seen cables with the impedance off slightly work just fine. Usually it either works or doesn’t. In my experience anyway. The impedance was just barely out of the ‘good’ range.

No. We turned all security off. We thought that might be it. No effect. The new Ubquiti has been running 24 hours with no loss, drop connection or any other instability. It seems to be rock solid.
