First off i need to let everyone reading this know I do not have as of yet a mikrotik product, but i will be purchasing soon. Thus the reason for this post..
Now to my question. My question is I wish to create a mesh network, From what i get from the fourms that would be WDS, This is my scenario, I have point “A” (directional) point “B” AP/WDS and point “C” AP/WDS. Point “A” is a directional antenna (demartek) pointed toards Point “B” that has a 9-12DbI omni with routerboard 133 distance is rougly 1-1.5 miles. From Point “B” being an Omni directional antenna, we have Point “C” also with routerboard 133 and Omni anteann 15 dbi, also rougtly 1 mile. All 3 Points “A” “B” “C” will have LOS. Will Point B being activated as WDS/AP connect up to Point “C” And provide internet? Points “B” and “C” will have high power min-pci 350mw - 600mw cards.
Main points “IS this how WDS works” Will The omni’s travel that distance? And will Router OS hookup to my demartek and or YDI proxim etherant II?
