WDS increasingly unstable untill reboot needed

I got a WDS link setup between two hAP lite.
The problem is, that the link is only “stable” for a view hours, then starts to drop out and finally refuses to connect (permanently tries to but immediately disconnects again).
When i reboot the WDS master, the link is up again stable and fine until after a while the same scenario starts again.
The WDS link is set up as virtual interface on both sides.

It seems a bit to me as if there was a problem with memory leak or buffer that run full?
Anybody got an idea how i could further track down the problem?

thanks

I just changed “dynamic” to “static” and back to “dynamic” WDS mode on the WDS-master side.
This immediately puts the WDS link into the issue described before (trying to connect but immediately gets disconnected).
A reboot of the master WDS node helps.

Same effect when i disable or enable another virtual wlan in the list.

Another finding.
It seems to be related to encryption method.
If i turn off encryption completely it immediately connects every time.

EDIT:
Changing WDS mode to “WDS mesh” solved the problem.
