WDS Mesh Ethernet Connected?

This question has been asked several different ways but I’m still unclear if there is such a capability.
Is it possible to have 4 APs all connected on the same layer 2 network to all be set up on the same channel, same ssid, wds mesh, to appear to a client as one AP.
The scenario is about a 2000’ straight line area that needs coverage where as data needs to be taken from cars moving across the area at speed.
Car enters the coverage are, connects and transfers data. Not a large amount of data, maybe 300, 500K of information.

From what I’ve read this can be done if its a wds wireless setup where as there is one wds ap and 3 wds slaves using wireless as the backbone.
This is a straight line where the last AP would have to relay across 3 APs in a high noise environment so wireless as a backbone would most likely fail.
So for this to work all 4 APs would need to be ethernet connected, from reading old posts its really fuzzy if such an ability exists with Mikrotik WDS MESH.
Most posts devolve to why use WDS at all, just use capsman but for this application. I dont think the data transfer would survive the transit from one AP to another.

We tested a Meru setup that had this capability but the radios were abysmal and it just didnt work.

Thanks for any insight if you have ever tried this or have knowledge about this
