I’ve been using a setup for the last few years, and I’ll need to update the network. It’s a network I made so that I can have broadband access where I live. This is the setup I have so far:
DSL Modem>>>Mikrotik X86 as a client>>>>>>>>> Mikrotik AP/Mikrotik AP on a WRAP board<<<<<<<<<<<<<My PC Client.
I’ve been using WDS on the wrap board as a way of routing the traffic. Is there a better way to set my network up that this? Is there even a different way of doing this at all?
Also, I’m going to set up a second WRAP board on the PC end of the network, so that I’ll have an AP at my house, and I can connect my PC through the ethernet port, and the Laptop wirelessly. Is there any tutorials out there that will guide me as how to do this?
Finally, I want to restrict the network to just the one MAC address(apart from my new wrap board, obviously), as I could see someone trying to connect without permission.
I know you guys are busy, but if you can help me with this, I’d be grateful.
