I have two RB433 routers with two Ubiquiti X2 radios and one antenna each. The first unit I call the MASTER and the second I call SLAVE. The MASTER unit has eth1 bridged to the radio A and a WDS link names PRIVATE to the SLAVE. The MASTER also has eth3 bridged to radio B and a WDS link name PUBLIC to the SLAVE. I use the MASTER to provide localized 802.11g/b and the relay the bridged networks to the SLAVE unit. The SLAVE unit is only setup to connect WDS, PUBLIC & PRIVATE, to the MASTER as well as broadcast 802.11g/b to that localized area.
I have this all setup and working so long as I use no encryption on the second wireless connection. If I enable encryption, I am unable to get the radios to register with each other. This seems to be a bug but I cannot find anyone speaking about setting up two WDS links with two radios in the same router board.
Thank you for any input or suggestions.
