WDS Transparent special bridge problem

I used Transparent bridge with 2 RB SXT5HND station-wds in 5180 supper channel and bridge in 5805
there’s signal strength in -90db! when i set both in 5180 freq there’s signal strength at -64db
I did that for learn addresses in that mode automatically to save valid IP(v4) addresses.
what’s the problem there?! :confused:

Apart from making the remark that the difference in signals has nothing to do with bride (station-weds) mode or not I can not make up what you really are trying to explain here.
Make a better explanation so we might see what the issue is…

When i set one SXT in bridge mode at 5805 freq, and anorher SXT (wds station) at 5180 freq :
the signal strenght is -90 - -92 db
But when both sxts at 5180 freq, the signal strenght is -64db

just put the SXTs in these modes instead of bridge and station-bridge.
one in bridge and another in station-wds. It cause to have a transparent bridge.

The both SXT should work on the same frequency. When you scan and select the AP with client, the Client match itself with AP frequency.

I think in the article which you mentioned, the writer forgot to change the client frequency.

Only the AP (AP-bridge, or Bridge) frequency is used.
All station modes scan for all frequencies selected according band and other parameters. The moment it finds an AP to associate it works on the AP’s frequency only.

If you have better signal with 5180 than 5805 it can have several causes.
What antenna do you use?
Print both wireless interface exports (console) in this forum so we can see what you are exactly doing.

you can also check frequency usage in the target area and see which one has lowest noise and usage too.

I did that, frequencies are free and not used.

I used transparent bridge more & more times for sending PPPOE traffic over Wireless with mikrotik but all times frequencies was same and no in super channel mode. first time i used that configuration to see what happen!
