WDS & WEP compatibility

Is Mikrotik WDS and/or WEP encryption compatible with other devices ?

I use mainly two units for client-side (or possible WDS hop)

Senao 3054 g units
D-Link DWL-2100AP

As long as your device supports WDS and WEP encyrption… Then yes.

I had an MiniPCI card (AR5213) on router with 64bit WEP enabled but could not associate with a Senao CB3054 unit set as bridge. Disabled WEP and it worked immediately.

Any suggestions ?

I was adviced by my Mikrotik/Senao supplier not to use above config with 3054 set as AP, with WDS as it is apparently unstable

Any truth in that ?

can not make WDS connection with D-Link DWL-2100AP to the mikrotik 2.9.6 with Dlink-G520 on board, D-Link DWL-900ap+ and DWL-1000AP+ connects to the mikrotik using WDS perfectly, but 2100 not at all…
i try mikrotik 2.9.12 and another 2100, and 7100, same results…some times it connects for 1-2 minutes, then disconnect again, in registration list connection present Tx/Rx Rate 54Mbps/1Mbps, in statistic menu Tx/Rx Packets (some number)/0, all Tx-(some number)/Rx-0…
I try D-Link-G510 & AG530 in mikrotik, resulth the same…

can you send me config file from Senao 3054, its use same atheros like in d-link 2100, i think what problem in d-link, i dont use wep or wpa, just simple p2p bridge function…

I cannot tell for those equipment, but i have an MT box that is doing wep+wds (with CM9 at 2.4) for 10 Linksys wrt54g with Alchemy on them..

WDS between MT and AP4000 succesful…
Put the MT wlan pointing to the Proxim in ap-bridge, no encryptation and WDS mode dynamic

pleasecould you help me out i am trying tomake thta same kind of connection but the linksys has ddwrt on it and there is a connection between the 2 but i cant ping form either sides of the network
