We need a LHG 5G!

Look the LHGG lte it is obsolete in the european market, having LTE-Advance in western europe you always have to carrier aggregate more than two bands to have a decent speed nowadays, usually it’s B7+B3+B1+B20 but the LHGG can’t unless you fix it yourself.

As you can see in the map below 5G NSA is being deployed under the n77 and n78 band, right now only the Chateau 5G can connect, but having those tiny, low gain half-assed antennas you would have to refurbish old ubiquiti rocketdish M3 antennas to have any usable real world range, that’s why we need a lhg 5g.

hmmmm…so, how does one fix the LHGG…that link above is not working

We also need a LHG and SXT with an antenna aimed at lower bands for 4G.

Why would you refurb UBNT gear instead of just buying a proper outdoor 5G antenna?

I’d like to see a 5G LHG. I guess we are waiting on router os 7 going stable? I guess there is probably a chip shortage to contend with too :frowning:

If you bought the current LHG with the LTE6 card, do you think you’ll be able to replace the card with a 5g one or is it likely to need a card “format” change? Was thinking I might buy an LHG for a site now and upgrade later?

for now we use LHGGR with adapter and Quectel EM50x modules but still we all wait for stable Ros7.1 and units with m.2 slot.
Good is that new Chateau and hAPac³ all have got both pins for both mPCIe and m.2 what give us proof that MikroTik is prepared to release that m.2 line of products.
