Web Proxy FailOver Help

Hi All
I use web-proxy, but sometimes its goes down and this proxy that I use is not mine.
I would like to know can I have any script checking its status, when the proxy server doesn’t work it turrns Off proxying or something like that.
I think I can check if it is working or no by following

[admin@RT-Router] > /system telnet www.mikrotik.com 80
Trying 66.228.113.26...
Connected to 66.228.113.26.
Escape character is '^]'.

or something else, when the script sees Connecned to X.Y.Z.W it will not do anything, when script does not find Connected word, it does something say “Turn off port redirect”

Still no-one with a solution for this?
Im trying to something similar , but to my own MT.

Seems the MT web-proxy seems to fail on v3.6 often, leaving all my clients without internet.


If i can get this right, i can overcome this issue by enabling and disabling web-proxy to get it running again!

Did you every find a solution to this problem?

I simply upgraded MT when the next release came and the issues disappeared.
