whenever I checkmark the enable in web proxy….the traffic on port connected to internet increases suddenly even lan is not connected. What might be the reason?
the router is rb1000.all other configuration is default.
have you protected your router, so someone else from not-in-you-LAN can access it?
you need to add a firewall rule to divert your 80 port traffic to webproxy port.
the router is not protected. it is a fresh one. without configuring anything i just enabled the web proxy and the traffice on the port connected to internet increases as much as the total bandwidth.

there is no problem in forwarding 80 port to web proxy port. but the main thing is the traffic on the port connected to internet as i enable web proxy.
take a look at your connection tracking, or torch the interface. you should see there the reason.
i changed the port of webproxy to 3128 and it worked…
