I am using router os 3.3. The router is NATed to external public address and there is also a IP tunnel through which all our local IP gets internet access.Now i would like to configure HTTP proxy in the router.I followed following steps
1.Enabled HTTP proxy. The settings are
enabled: yes
src-address: 0.0.0.0
port: 8000
parent-proxy: 0.0.0.0
parent-proxy-port: 0
cache-drive: system
cache-administrator: “webmaster”
max-cache-size: none
cache-on-disk: no
max-client-connections: 600
max-server-connections: 600
max-fresh-time: 3d
serialize-connections: no
always-from-cache: no
cache-hit-dscp: 4
2.I set the DNS information in IP/DNS.
3.I tried to access the net through proxy it says “DNS resolving failed”.

can anyone please help me to resolve this.

Hi,
Actually I am not trying to set a transparent Proxy. I think, you require NAT only if you want a transparent one,correct ? anyways, here is the nat

0 chain=srcnat action=src-nat to-addresses=<> src-address=192.168.1.0/24

This is only NAT entry.
