Webbox access on 5.8

So I have recently upgraded from 5.6 to 5.7 and 5.8, is there a trick to getting webfig access via a web gui?

I really like to use the graphs for checking bandwidth usage on my phone.

Thanks

Post the output of “/ip route print detail”, “/ip address print detail”, “/interface print detail”, “/ip service print detail”, and “/ip firewall export” together with an explanation of how your phone would connect to the router (through the Internet coming in from the WAN side? Through a directly connected broadcast domain?).

I normally type the IP address in my web browser but the reply is now “unable to connect”.

I am assuming 5.8 requires you type more than the IP, just wondering what needs to be typed to get to winbox of webfig?

Thanks

Nothing changed. Typing the IP should work. If it doesn’t, that requires further troubleshooting. You posting the information I requested would facilitate such troubleshooting.

If you’re coming in from outside the LAN (i.e. a smart phone on your mobile providers network) the default configuration may be blocking access. Look at your firewall configuration and which addresses or interfaces the services are configured to allow access to.

Also note that carelessly opening this up is probably a really bad idea. The access limits are there for a reason. The key is to setup some kind of controlled access either with known hosts, a secure tunnel or some other way to make sure that only trusted hosts are allowed remote access.

OBTW - If you did a configuration export before upgrading (generally a good idea in case you need to roll back) you can take another export afterwards and compare them to see any config changes.
