WebFig - How to upload html file to the catalog?

Hi all,
I use Webfig and prepared skins for 35 Mobile HotSpot for a Customer, they have need to change SSID and PIN code for LTE modem, own password and hotspot settings.

The problem is: How Customer could upload html file (Hotspot disclaimer) using Web Browser to the /hotspot catalog?
When he upload via Webfig, file always is saved on main catalog “/”.
How to move it to /hotspot catalog?

This works via Winbox, but Winbox don’t support skins, so Customer have rights to remove interfaces.
This works via FTP server, but this way Customer have permission to remove json file from /skins also.
This works via SCP, but the same way as Winbox.

So I decided to disable for Customer FTP and SSH, so please help?

How to upload file via web browser ?

I try Firefox, IE, Chrome on ROS 6.37.3

Maybe branding package would work for that?

It is true, Webfig does not support moving files yet. If you have restricted so much access to the customer, why are you allowing to upload hotspot files? Explain the use case a bit more, maybe we can figure something out .

Hello Normis,
Hostpots will be installed in buses of public transport, I made configurations and Client will upload files: own logo.png and rules_of_use_hotspot.html to “hotspot/user” catalog.
I know that could be displaying a web page on Internet server, but is required that those file are storing locally.
I just workaround this by using SMB share to catalog “/hotspot/user/”, now Client have RW access to catalog “/user” and don’t have privileges to change files in hotspot catalog.
Thanks for reading.
Read and accept “Rules” of hotspot could be a nice feature.
Somethings like text: “This site is using cookies” for Hotspot.

I should do the same thing. grant access to the hotspot folder and do not allow access to the rest including the skin folder. can you tell me how you did it?

did you expose only that folder with samba and close the FTP connection?

guys, I solved it. after having done a thousand tests, deleting and re-entering both users and directories as well as activating and deactivating samba 1000 times, it now works. but the values are the same as those I initially insisted on. what user policy is sufficient for samba? @Normis, isn’t there a precise sequence between creating share users and activating samba?

Sorry but I don’t understand the question. Samba / SMB does not use RouterOS admin users. You make special access in the “/ip smb user” menu.

I also solved it with samba. with ftp they delete your skin and you’re screwed
