Webfig login damages SXT wireless configuration

I have a super strange issue with an SXT ↔ OmniTIK setup here. I narrowed it down and it is reproducable even after upgrading vom v6.2 to v.6.6.

When I log in with Webfig (just log in - no click or key pressed after that!) to the SXT, the wireless connection is lost immediately. When I check in a parallel SSH session that I opened through the ethernet interface, I see the wireless configuration altered! The “band” parameter gets changed from “5ghz-onlyn” to “5ghz-a/n” and most important, the “country” parameter gets changed from “germany” to any other value like “etsi 5.5-5.7 outdoor” or “brunei darussalam” etc. :open_mouth: That also changes the frequency and the connection is dead.

I tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox on Max OS X as well as Firefox on Windows, it doesn’t matter. Only Winbox and SSH are “safe” methods to access this pice of S***XT, with a browser the config is trashed in a second… :open_mouth:

Any advice?

in one of the previous versions, there was a bug that does this. in v6.6 we have not seen anything like this. please confirm that you can repeat it on routers upgraded to v6.6.

make sure you clear your browser cache before opening Webfig, because possibly the problematic JavaScript file was cached, and this is why your problem was repeated.
