Is it a seperate package ?
I didnt find any info about this in mikrotik website.

Please help me out,
thanx

Christos

You should install web-proxy test package.

no, you should NOT install anything. webproxy is inside the system package, it’s in RouterOS by default. just go to ‘/ip proxy’ in ROS

If we install “Combined RouterOS package”, web-proxy is in /ip proxy. But If we install “Separate RouterOS packages” It doesn’t in /ip proxy ROS.

hai fren,
i am so sorry never try webproxy, but as far as i remember webproxy is better install to pc router, isn't it?

i cannot find a seperate package “webproxy” to install.
has anyone a link to download it?

i have the “proxy” package at /ip proxy BUT is not the same.
at webproxy you have more options.

there is no more webproxy, you have to use PROXY

yes, not enough resources i think...

Use a proxy with a NAND storage media is not recommended. Never do it.

this is only for routerboard version ?

On a 532, use a MicroDrive in the CF card slot. (If you want moving parts)..

If the device is on a tower, you may want to use a proxy elsewhare in your network.
(I would hate to climb a pole for a crashed drive…)

Newer CF devices have a much greater write cycle, but I still dont think I would want to use them for a proxy storage device.

Just my two cents worth…

Craig

we don’t use squid anymore, only our own proxy
