Website not accessible after FTP transfer

Hello,

We have a RouterOS 3.1 box that feeds a Motorola Canopy network. I have a customer who has been given a public IP from one of our blocks.

This customer has been trying to do some work on a website hosted on a server outside our network. After they do an FTP transfer (upload or download) to modify the website they apparently lose the ability to access the website via their web browser for a couple of hours.

Any thoughts on this?

I believe this may have happend to another customer some time ago. A reboot of the router resolved the problem at that time, however I’m not sure if this was a permanent fix for them or not.
