First of all, sorry for my bad english but I’m italian and I don’t write much..
I’m pretty noob at router os configurations and I’m still learning, but I’ve encountered a weird problem and I can’t figure it out what it’s happening (I did my research but I cannot find any related problem…)
I live and work in my family’s restaurant, in which I programmed the network via mikrotik devices. We have two separate wifi network (and two separate subnets), one for the guests and one for private use, and those two network are managed through the gateway which is also a CAPsMan.
Three old RB951-2n are the access points for the guests
One RB951Ui-2HnD is our private access point in our house
The problem begins when I connect a device to our private network: I cannot ping it, nor access it (it’s a samba share machine that I built) and that happens if I try to ping it from my computer which is also under our private network, but If i try to ping it or access it from a machine which is in the same subnet but not connected to the wifi (so it’s physically connected to the gateway) it works. Same if I try to access it from the guests subnet (wifi or physical)
So I think that the problem is in the capsman configuration of my private access point, but I don’t know…
