One of our clients come to us with weird disconnect complains.
Occasionally clients at lan side disconnects from routers internal network port after in a minute reconnect again. This happens randomly.
I simulated problem with using ip scan tool (i suspected collided ip addresses) on internal interface.
There are firewall rules but all the traffic and icmp’s to router are accepted by the very first rule in the filter list.
After scan started, pings from and to lan interface starts to give timeouts. When this occours torch shows all the traffic at the interface stops and shows lots of multicast and broadcast addresses.
I have to wait for a several minutes or have to disable and re-enable interface to make things normal again. I also suspect from local switches but client claims that issue started after we installed mikrotiks.
Has any one encountered such an issue?
I trace and found problem. Client connects an another dsl modem into their local area without our knowledge.Problem one faulty tplink adsl modem. Device was making weird broad and multicasts trough network and some reason mikrotik blocks all connection to its port.(think this is a bug)
